You didn’t give too much information, but that’s okay. I am trying to help you otherwise.

Your cat is highly likely to still be adjusting to your house, and you! You must give her time. She is probably not used to living in a nice home. Try using a sweet voice at night-time when she does come out, and just sit as close as possible. She may have been abused earlier in her already early life. Show her that you won’t hurt her. She is going to need some much needed TLC!

I hope this helps you! Good luck!

Wow. You are in a really tough situation. I have a few tips that might or might not help you. I found this site very helpful. Most credit goes out to her! Her name is Stacy Braslau-Schneck and her main home page is: http://www.wagntrain.com/index.htm

1. This is probably the most known tip. Don’t make a big deal when you go out or come home. Try to make your arrival or departure seem boring.

You said you don’t have enough money for a doggie daycare or a therapist, so maybe if you have a friend that could watch him a little while during the day for you, that would be good. But, he seems overly attached to you. So this advice will probably not be of much help.

This is a great tip I found on this site: http://www.wagntrain.com/SeparationAnx.htm

Throughout your time together, do not give in to your dog’s demands for your attention. If he comes to you whining, pawing, barking, jumping, jumping into your lap, or rubbing up against your hand, quietly turn away from him (you can stand up a little slowly to softly dump a small dog out of your lap). Wait until your dog is doing something else that is acceptable (not demanding your attention), and then call him over for some attention. Remember, if your dog can get your attention on demand any time you are home, it will be an even sharper contrast when you are gone.

You can find so much more information and great advice at that website. I have to leave now, but I hope that site helps you! Good luck!

I’m just sitting here thinking about my new blog. Is anyone reading this right now? I am going to go to bed in a few moments. I just wanted to say a couple of more things to you, if you’re out there.
I actually think blogs are underestimated. When you tell people you have a blog, you can either get a “Cool, way to go!” response, or some people will say “That’s lame.” I honestly think blogs are a great way to get whatever is on your mind out of there temporarily.
Anyways, that rant is over.
Now, allow me to ramble. You can stop reading this right now if you would like to.
Well, it is Christmas week, and I really can’t wait until the 24th. That evening, we go to mass, and then come home and put little baby Jesus in our nativity set’s manger. Then, we put the presents under the tree and go to bed. When we finally fall asleep, and reality makes the transition to dreams, before we know it we’re waking up. The lovely full tree with all those presents for everybody. Ah, Christmastime. It really is the most wonderful time of the year.
Last Christmas I got a couple hours of sleep, then I woke up at around 1 a.m. and was up all night until 5:30-6. I was very tired but couldn’t fall asleep for some reason. Maybe it was too bright with the fish light on AND a nightlight. Anyways, my mom finally woke up around that time, and I got up with her. I remember even trying to read to make myself even more tired than I already was, but nope.
*light bulb* I actually just remembered that whenever I did fall asleep, my dog would come walking in my room and push the door open as he did so.
I wanted to ramble some more, but my eyes are begging to be shut! Happy Christmas everyone.

Siblings.

December 22, 2009

In my Christmas 2009 post, I mentioned my sister. I actually have three other siblings, and one other niece (Riley), and one nephew(Izaak). I thought I would mention them also. Especially Riley and Izaak, because they also light up the house when they are in it.

Christmas 2009.

It is always fun to anticipate that morning, to unwrap the presents, and enjoy time with your family. This year, it will be even more special for me. My sister, her husband, and their baby are living with us temporarily. It is great to see them every day. My niece Rowan lights up the whole house better than any Christmas lights could ever do.

Hello world!

I don’t have a name for this blog just yet. So for now, bear with me, while I try to think about a great name. This blog will mainly be about the days of my life as each one goes by. I will frequently write about my opinions on latest news, music, movies, and celebrities.
(this post will also be found in the main page, “About”)
